It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ethel Phyllis MacDonald (Halifax, Nova Scotia), born in Pictou, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 4, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel MacDougall and Anna MacDougall (MacCarthy); her husband Charles; her siblings, Gladys Melvin (Michael), Helen Clancey (Walter), Shirley Power and Peter MacDougall; and her son-in-law Robert Bower.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara Bower, Gail Walker (Blair) and Greg (Colleen); her grandchildren, Carla (Scott), Christopher (Suzana), Natalie, Ryan, Jillian (John) and Sheena (Randy); her brother Lyle MacDougall; her siblings-in-law, Ralph Power and Helen MacDougall; and her aunt Elinor Murphy (Patrick) of Pictou. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
