She was predeceased by: her parents, William Barnes and Rose Barnes (Meade); her husband John Cox (Jack); her son Mark; her brothers, Donald and Roy Barnes; her nieces, Debbie Barnes and Mary-Louise Pace; and her friends, Barbara Dooley and Gladys Bradley.

She is survived by: her children, John (Donna) and Joanne (Paul); her grandson Chad (Jesa); her great grandchildren, Aiden and Benjamin; her siblings, Bill Barnes and Dorothy Smith; her friend Margaret Hachey; and her godchildren, Andrea Forshner and Zachary Goulden. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Holy Trinity Emmanuel Church.
