With sadness, we share the passing of Evelyn Lawlor (Mooney) Morris (Halifax, Nova Scotia). Evelyn, born on April 13, 1935, passed away on August 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Lawlor and John Patrick Mooney; and her siblings, Kathleen MacDougall (Joe), Constance Marr (Ralph), Geraldine, Barbara Moore (Ray), John (Roz), Patrick and Gertrude.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Bryson (Peter), Denis (Kathy O'Brien), Barbara Morrison (Ian), Joseph, Kevin (Victoria Jackman), Kathleen Bekkers (Robert), Gertrude Kells (Ryan) and Clare Bilek (Ian); her grandchildren, James (Kristi), Barbara (Matthew Wheeler), Patrick Bryson, Daniel (Kaitlyn Keller), Siobhan, Michael Morris (Sabrina Cruz), Andrew (Sarah MacKenzie), Julia (Tim Mombourquette), Kathleen Morrison, Chris (Maddie), Carolyn, Bridgit (Brad Altum), Luke Morris (Andrea Palmer), Nicholas (Nathalie El-Zakhem), Gillian, Connor Morris, Katherine (Lucas Breda), Clare (Lucas Denneboom), Frederick (Olivia Bryant), Eileen Bekkers (Thomas Wallace), Denis, Erin Kells, Matthew, Timothy, Paul James and Isabel Bilek; and her brother-in-law Christopher Morris (Judy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews, and great great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. A. Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (1725 Oxford St, Halifax, NS B3H3Z7).
