He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Cecil and Lena May West (Downey); his wife Linda (Melissa); his siblings, Elizabeth Jefferies (Carl), Olive May Hamilton (Paul), Marie Loppie Shirley (James), Mary Gangoo (Joseph), Ernest, Roy (late Colette), Baby West, Michael, George Albert Sr. and Allan (Heather); his grandparents, Robert Sasso, Simon and Frances Downey (Carvery); his nephews, Gary Hamilton, George, Tony Jefferies, Darrel Hamilton and Paul Mason; and his niece Carol Ann Jefferies.
He is survived by: his daughter Florence Mae Franks (West); his grandson Tevin Franks; and his siblings, Rose Campbell (late Bernard) of Halifax, Beatrice Wilkins (John) of Dartmouth and Perry West of Halifax. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
