He was predeceased by: his parent Russell MacKay. He is survived by: his parent Annabelle MacKay (Malcolm); his wife Jean (Nickerson); his children, Donna (Randy) and David (Debbie); his granddaughters, Erika (Andrew), Hamelin, Shelburne, Nikki Pace (Lionel Clark), Brookfield, Kimberlee (Rob) and Truro; his great grandchildren, Brayden Milberry, Hunter and Colby Clark; his siblings, Marlene Breton (Allan) and Daniel (Marian); and also, MacPhee, Truro, MacLean Breton and Cape Breton.

Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the IWK Hospital if desired.
