He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Heard and Margaret Atkinson (Pat); his wife Janet Halifax (Beazley); his children, Debra Hammonds Plains (Kevin Currie), George, Joanne Halifax (Rob Cooper) and Stephen; his grandchildren, Amanda San Antonio (Sean Skaggs), Megan, Lauren and Michael; his great grandchildren, Ben Skaggs, Aiden Skaggs and San Antonio; and his siblings, Elaine Kempton, Jim Hamilton (Kathy) of Ontario and Peggy Moffat. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
