It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Thomas Churney (Halifax, Nova Scotia), born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 5, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Churney and Mary Churney (Thomas); and his brother Charlie Churney (Bubby). He is survived by: his wife Debby (Howatt); his children, Donna Lordly (Winston), John Churney (Christina), Karen Poulin (Jean-Jaques), Shaun Churney (Tara), Darlene Churney (Mark) and Michelle Keeping (Martin); and his siblings, Stephen Churney (Joan) and Shauna Peach (Roy). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The family would appreciate any donations in George's memory be made to the Bedford Lions Club, Immigrant Services Association of NS or to a charity of the donor's choice.
