It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Golda J. (Gaetz) Hilchie of Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Golda leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Gaetz and Viola Gaetz (Conrod); her daughter Cheryl Cross (Dave); and her siblings, Lena Pickering, Vera Roos, Della Gates, Esther Aulenback, Marjorie May Gaetz, Lawson Gaetz, Calvin Gaetz, Farrell Gaetz, Perry Gaetz and Dean Gaetz.
She is survived by: her son Shawn (Margo). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
