He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles G. Smith and Ella Smith (Allen); and his stepmother Mary Smith (Covey). He is survived by: his wife Yvonne (White) of Middle Sackville; his children, Michael (Barb) of Ontario, Richard (Martha) of Ontario and Susan Holman (Scott) of Middle Sackville; his siblings, Dennis (Donna) of Dartmouth and Debbie Bower of Halifax; and his grandchildren, Gavin and Claire Holman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
