With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gordon Frederick Kent of Halifax, Nova Scotia, born in Scotsburn, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 6, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Gordon Frederick is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Gordon Frederick's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kent and Mabel Kent (Gibbon); his siblings, Margaret (Melvin) and Sandy (Sandra); and his brothers-in-law, Victor MacKay and Sam MacKay.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Kent (MacKay); and his sister Helen Buell (Stan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Snow's Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the J. A. Snow's Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1).
