He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Michael and Sophie Michael; his brother-in-law Harry Love; and his nephew Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Read; his brother Roger (Margaret) of Bedford; his daughters, Heather Michael (Chris Karmas) of Halifax, Alexis Michael (Myles Amirault) of Halifax and Margaret Michael (Logan Clark-Kenney) of Halifax; and his grandchildren, Hugh Clark, Sophia Karmas, Gordon and I'll. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Cruikshank's Funeral Home (2666 Windsor St, Halifax, NS B3K5C9). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the All Saints Cathedral (1330 Cathedral Ln, Halifax, NS B3H2Z1).
