Gordon Shanks Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gordon Shanks of Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 10, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Gordon Shanks to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon V. Shanks of Halifax and Phyllis Shanks (Aucoin); his siblings, Margarete Leblanc, Marie Milsom, Gerald and Richie; and his brother-in-law Walter Milsom.

He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Ron Shanks, Kim Shanks (Kenny), Tanya Benoit (David) and Cheyanne Thompson; his grandchildren, Ryan Shanks (Rebecca), Nicole Tufts, Katlin Boylan, Brady Shanks (Gillian) and John Shanks; and his great grandchild Oliva.

Due to Covid restrictions we will be holding a celebration of life as soon as we are able.

We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia, The Heart & Stroke Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
