She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandfather John; her husband Bert Hirschfeld; her daughter Marie Thomson; her granddaughter Vanessa; her former husband John Albert Hirschfeld (Bert); her parents, Frances Connolly (Moriarty) and Gerald Connolly; her brother Deacon Jack Connolly (Bill Newcombe); her son-in-law Bill Thomson; her sister-in-law Jeanette Connolly; and her friend William Fenrick. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

A gathering will be held to celebrate Helen's life when pandemic conditions permit.
