She was predeceased by: her husband Edmund Mitchell (Ted); her parents, Rita Dares and Carl Dares; and her brother Graham Dares. She is survived by: her daughter Karen Cormier; her son-in-law Dan; her son Ted Garrett (Tammi); her daughter-in-law Christine MacKenzie; her grandchildren, Carolyn Garrett, Peter Garrett (Elissa), Christopher Cormier (Ashley) and James Cormier; and her nephews, Keith Dares (Cathy) and Grant Dares (Sandra). She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's name may be made to the Valley Hospice Foundation, 150-3 Exhibition St., Kentville, NS B4N 5E3.
