She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hanrahan and Lillian Hanrahan; her husband Stan Sarty; her sons, Gerald, Wayne, Jimmy and Tommy; her sisters, Pat and Dorothy; her brothers-in-law, Murray and Jack; her brother Teddy; her sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Faye; her nieces, Linda Wedge and Debbie Davis; and her brother-in-law Johnny Newman.

She is survived by: her children, Catherine Landry of Dartmouth and Michael Sarty of Halifax; her sister Noreen Newman; her grandchildren, David, Colin, Maggie, Christina, Brittany, Emily and Jonathan; her great grandchildren, Max, Myles and Ceana; and her great great grandchild Nevaeh. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dartmouth General Hospital.
