The memory of Jack Edward Oakley of Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 2, 2025 at the age of 76, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Oakley and Myra Oakley; his stepfather George Hopkinson; his brother Howard "Howie" Oakley (Donna); and his parents-in-law, Harold "Buddy" Parker and Geraldine Parker (Howe).
He is survived by: his wife Rosalind Parker-Oakley; his daughters, Taryn and Desiree (Delvane); his grandchildren, Taisen, Harlem and Amira; his siblings, David (Sharon), Michael (Evelyn), Sandra, Sharon (Terry) and Susan (Harry); his siblings-in-law, Mark (Susan), Shawn (Sandra), Tanya and Rebecca; his godchildren, Rodney Fraser, Lisa Hatch and Nicole Marcotte; his nieces, Monique Oakley and Jade Parker; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jaiah Paris and Jayla Verney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cruikshank's Funeral Home (2666 Windsor St, Halifax, NS B3K5C9). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Horizons Baptist Church (5457 Cornwallis St, Halifax, NS B3K1B1).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be in memoriam to New Horizons Baptist Church.
