James Alexander Smith Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Alexander Smith (Halifax, Nova Scotia), born in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 18, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Smith and Jean Smith (Smith); his siblings, Bill, Dale and Margie Brown; and his sister-in-law Janet Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Linda (Hubley); his children, Alexa (Bryce Thibodeau), Michael (Elaine Cameron) of Rothesay, Kevin, Colleen and Brian (Nancy Palejko) of Vancouver; his grandchildren, Anna, Ivy, James, Malcolm and Grampy; his siblings, Carol (Fred Turner), Dana, Leonard (Pat Bates) and David; and also Frances Rosenberg (O'Brien). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends.
