We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2019, at the age of 81, James McGillivray Gillis (Halifax, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Hugh Gillis of Cape Breton; his wife Sandra of Port Elgin, NB; and his siblings, Thomas, Joan, Theresa and Nora.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Gillis of Halifax, Michelle Gray (Tom) of Halifax, Debbie Arab (Eddy) of Halifax, Susan Caldwell of Halifax and Kathy Deagle (Steve) of Halifax; his stepchildren, Tammy and Steven of Port Elgin; and his sisters, Marian, Lee, Ave, Betty, Monica, Donna (Dartmouth), Mary Jane (Chester) and Hughena of Halifax. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren.
