He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Jean McPhail; and his sister Irene Rosevear. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sherwood (Meg); his children, Gary Sherwood (Angelique), Nancy O'Brien (John), Karen Sherwood (Dan O'Brien) and Scott Sherwood (Leora); his stepchildren, Lindsey Buchanan (Dale), Dr Holly Muir (Dr Ron Olson), Stuart Muir (Valerie) and Joanne Muir; and his niece Orpah Perkins (Wayne). He is also survived by grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
