The memory of Janet Tattrie of Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 4, 2026 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Thomas and Helen Thomas (Brownell); and her siblings, Evelyn and Earl. She is survived by: her husband Freeman Tattrie; her children, Gregory and Janelle (Sean); her grandchildren, Hailie (Jacob), Megan (Brett), Jake and Jason (Sam); her great grandchildren, Keidan, Naveah and Ava; her brothers, Ron (Ethel) and Gerald; and her siblings-in-law, Marion and Aubrey. She is also survived by nephews, cousins, friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium (5075 Main St, Oxford, NS B0M1P0). During COVID-19, she put together goodie bags for elderly community members who did not have a lot of family.
