“Joan was a good friend of mine, she helped take care of me when I was little. Mom would leave me with Joan and we would play with the Lite Brite, she had a big one. Joan was always a good person. I hope she lived her life to the fullest. I really liked her and miss her. She was my best friend ever cause she was good to me. Now she is across the rainbow bridge with my my aunt Dorothy and my dog Charlie. My thoughts are with her family. Hilary Battiste”

“Joan was my next door neighbour. Whenever I was missing an ingredient while cooking, she always had a spare onion or egg to lend. I cannot believe I will not see her smiling, friendly face again. I usually got to chat with her while she was waiting for her drive to the Scotia Center. She loved working there, and always looked very professional. She had many good friends in our building, and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Our sincere sympathy to her family. Apt 206”

She was a spitfire that called it as she saw it, everyone loved and respected her, watching her kick people out of skyboxes at the end of the night always brought me much joy❤️ Joan will always hold a special place in my heart!
