With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Marian Smith (Halifax, Nova Scotia), who passed away on January 13, 2022 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gerald Smith and Margaret Smith (Burke); her husband Ronnie MacEachern; her children, Jillian Hayter (Roy), Meghan (Wilker), Jonathan, Danielle and Caitlin Curtis (Alex); her stepdaughters, Orla (Taylor), Molly and Leah; her grandchildren, Austin, Avery, Adrian, Charlotte and Margaret; her brothers, Ron (Lil), Bill (Lucy), Father Earl and Ken (Mary); and her nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Emily (Marc), Rebecca, Anna, Scott (Nicola), Andrew, Brennan and Louie. She was also cherished by children, stepdaughters and grandchildren, to her children's close friends.
