He was predeceased by: his parents, Alister Malcom Munro and Agnes Cameron Frew; his wife Lorraine Lillian Parsons of John's Newfoundland; and his brother Peter. He is survived by: his children, Katherine Munro, Kenneth Munro and Michael Munro; his grandchildren, Venus Munro, Holly Munro, Alexandre Choiniere and Sarasvati Gorman; his daughters-in-law, Harpreet Aulakh and Robin; his grandson-in-law John Gorman; his sister Ann Blackwood; his brother-in-law Chesley Blackwood; his sister Gillian Dickson; his brother-in-law Robert Dickson; his brother William Munro; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Munro and Jean Perry.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia, Ocean View Continuing Care Centre, the David Suzuki Foundation, or Trees for Life.
