He was predeceased by: his parents, Peggy Hammond (Iley) and Greg Ellis; and his stepfather Arthur Hammond. He is survived by: his wife Judi (Furey); his children, Darryl (Lanie), Karyn (Brendan) and Jennifer (Perry); his grandsons, Benedict and Ellis Rees; his pets, Lulu and Jake; and his siblings, David Ellis, Paul Hammond (Pat), Suzanne Ellis and Jane O'Callaghan (David).
