It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Frederick McGrath (Halifax, Nova Scotia), who passed away on September 28, 2019, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Joseph McGrath (Joe) and Alice McGrath (Phelan); his wife Margaret "Tootsie" Scott; and his siblings, Patricia Nowlan and Francis.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Holm, Elaine Swinimer (Leo), Douglas (Donna), Michael (Janice) and Paul (Shealagh). He is also survived by three granddaughters, three grandsons, four great granddaughters and two great grandsons.
As his sons and daughters we can attest to the numerous times that our less fortunate school mates went home with groceries from the store so in lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local food bank.
