He is survived by: his wife Eva Conn (Stephenson); his children, Stephen Conn (Cathy), Nancy Sheppard (Bill) and Shelley Sani (Fabio); his grandchildren, Andrew Conn (Amy) of Gregory Conn, Justin Conn, Tiffany Sheppard, Kimberly Sheppard, Spencer Sani and Max Sani; his great grandchildren, Emma-Grace and Grayson Conn; and his siblings, Phyllis, Liz, Janette and Tony.

Due to COVID restrictions, funeral seating is limited to family and invited guests and there will be no reception.

In lieu of flowers or cards, donations in John's memory can be made to First Baptist Church Halifax, Hospice Halifax or a Charity of the Donor's choice.
