He was predeceased by: his wife Penny (Boot); his siblings, Betty and Brian; and his parents, Frank and Ida.
He is survived by: his son Frank (Sarah); his granddaughter Margaret; his daughter Stephanie (Jes); and his siblings, Gerry, Bonnie, Dianne and Frank. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In the spirit of John's ongoing fundraising, donations to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (cpff.ca) would be welcome and much appreciated in lieu of flowers.
