He is survived by: his parents, Peter and Helen; his sister Helen Maud; his children, Melissa, Meredith (Michael), Patrick, Peter (Queeda), Paul, Phillip (Tina) and Margot; his grandchildren, Maria, Sam, Leah, Jeffrey, Josiah and Haley; and also, Keith and Phyllis.
John's wife Phyllis has been his best friend and companion and stayed by his side while he was affected by Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
