John Van will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew John Van will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. John Van’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Gerrit; his spouse Gerritdina Veenhuis (Gerry); and his children, Wilfred (Vicki), Randy (Jessica), Brenda (Allen), Mark (Cathy), Inger (Charlie) and Rayna (Ralph). He was also cherished by his parents, brothers, and sisters.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the All Nations Church (2535 Robie St, Halifax, NS B3K4N3).
