With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Berl Tynes (Halifax, Nova Scotia), born in East Preston, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 24, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Tynes and Eva May Saunders Tynes; his wife Shirley; his children, Edward, Brian, Kim, Eva and Donna; and his siblings, George, Murray, Alvin, Viola and Lynda.

He is survived by: his brothers, Dennis of Toronto and James of East Preston; and his children, Blaine (Connie) of Halifax, Joey (Leanne) of Halifax, Quentin (Darlene) of Halifax, Bentley (Denise) of Halifax, Roger (Wilma), Elaine of Halifax, Jenny (Scott) of Halifax, Vanessa of Halifax, Sherry (Martin) of Dartmouth and Rosanne (Nowlen). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
