He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mantin and Gladys Mantin (Bauld); his wife Betty (Regan); his brothers, Jack and Ron; and his daughter-in-law Teresa.
He is survived by: his children, Katherine Gouchie (David) of Edmonton, Alberta, Karen MacLeod (Sylvanus) of Dartmouth and Kevin Mantin (Lorraine) of Truro; and his grandchildren, Kristen, Lauren, Scott, Jennifer, Jeffrey and Sarah. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the J. A. Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stephen's Catholic Church (6032 Normandy Dr, Halifax, NS B3K2S9).
