He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Murphy (Swindells) and Edward Francis Murphy; and his brothers, Henry, Albert, Bill and Cyril.
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his daughters, Wendy Anderson and Darlene Coombes (Craig); his granddaughter Tasia; and his sisters, Marie Nazer, Geraldine Venedam and Marion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
