He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Cook and Audrey Cook (Hebb); and his sisters, Judith Somers, Joan Sponagle and June "Peggy" Minckler.

He is survived by: his close friend Ellen Briand; his daughter Chantal (Jay Bruce); his grandchildren, Lilly, Junior, Zara and Levon; his siblings, Gary (Cheryl), John (Jane), Barbara Langille (Darrell), Harbour and Louise Emeno; his brother-in-law Bill Somers; and his former wife Emma Cook. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
