It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo Martin Hynes (Halifax, Nova Scotia), born in Codroy, Newfoundland, who passed away on July 23, 2018, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Leonard Hynes; his wife Ursula Hynes; his parent-in-law Augustine Bruce; his son Dion Hynes; his siblings, William Hynes and Jean Hynes (Don Musseau); and also, Elizabeth Bruce and Kevin Hynes.
He is survived by: his parent Rita Hynes; his children, Cheryl Francis (Tim) of Timberlea, NS, Jocelyn Harrison (Scott) of Blandford, NS, Tracy McNeil (Josh) and Jennifer MacDougall (John); his grandchildren, Meghan, Nick, Liam, Toby, Ben, Charlotte and Finley; his siblings, Doug Hynes (Laura), Brian Hynes (Sharon), Karl Hynes (Pam) of Conn, Glen Hynes of Ottawa, Marlene Hynes (Ted Maciaac) of St. Andrew, Marg Dominie (Lloyd Herritt) of Stephenville, NL, Georgina Hynes (Jeff Hopkins) of Ottawa and Patti Hynes Leclair of Ontario; and his sisters-in-law, Marion Blagdon Hynes and Pauline Wall Hynes. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
