He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sr. Brooks and Geraldine Brooks (Paolini). He is survived by: his daughter Rose Michael (Mike); his grandchildren, Zane and Arinessa; his siblings, Rose Michael (Curtis), Liz Hamond, John Brooks, Joseph Brooks and Susan Kiowa; and his foster siblings, Rufus Copage, Sharon Copage and Sheila Doyle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ettinger Funeral Home Chapel (2812 NS-2, Shubenacadie, NS B0N2H0). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the St Kateri Roman Catholic Church (509 Church St, Micmac, NS B0N1W0).
