Leslie Day Baikie Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leslie Day Baikie of Halifax, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 1, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Baikie and Stella Baikie (Williams); his siblings, Henry (Harry), Harlan and Pearl; and his sister-in-law Ruby Burt.
He is survived by: his wife Jeannine Antoinette Don Carlos of Rivière; his caregiver Jeannine; his children, Susan (William Ungar), John and Andrew; his grandchildren, Madelaine, Céleste and Estée; his niece Michelle Baikie; and his nephew Greg Baikie.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home (2666 Windsor St, Halifax, NS B3K5C9). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Northwood Foundation (Adult Day Program) or Souls Harbour Rescue Mission.
