He was predeceased by: his parents, Lincoln S. Baker and Nora M. Baker (LaPierre); his nephew David Pippy; and his daughter-in-law Monica. He is survived by: his wife Henrica (Rita); his sons, Darren (Debbie), Christopher (Stephanie) and Bruce (Cindy Meakin); his grandchildren, Alexandre, Adriana, Fiona Peasey (Zachary), Charlotte and Maxwell; and his siblings, Alan (Alice), Edward, Lawrence (Margaret), Bedford, Gregory (Johanna), Sharon (Barb), Gloria Pippy, Sylvia Grover (Bert), Jeanette Harrington (Robert) and Rosemarie (Michael Hogan).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the J. A Walker Funeral Home (149 Herring Cove Rd, Halifax, NS B3P1K6). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church (6 St Michaels Ave, Halifax, NS B3P1M5). A reception was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
