She was predeceased by: her brothers, Edward (Ted), Kenneth, Gerald and John (Jack); her grandson David; and her mother Teresa Catholic Church Parish.

She is survived by: her children, Jim Smith (Elspeth Kinney), Patti Ouellette and Joan Fournier (Marc); her grandchildren, Jesslyn, Jim Jr., Janelle, Jennifer, Brian, Christopher, Michelle, Scott, Bruce and Kaitline; her great grandchildren, Octavia, Liam, Nancy, Julia, Brady, Alli, Blaise, Lynden, Carter, Madison and Rowan; and her great great grandchild Stella. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
