With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Georgakakos (Halifax, Nova Scotia), who passed away on December 29, 2020 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maria Georgakakos to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Dimosthenis Panagiotakos and Penelope Panagiotakos; her husband Konstandinos Georgakakos (Gus); her son George Georgakakos; and her brothers, Basilios, Panagiotis and Nikolas.

She is survived by : her former life partner Gus Georgakakos; her children, Lillian Georgakakos (Nikos Petakos) and Dimo Georgakakos (Lisa Reid); her brothers, Peter (Nancy), Terry (Maria), Andy and Louie (Angelica); and her grandchildren, Georgia, Kosta, Demo, Spiros, Maria and Stavros.

Funeral is for immediate family only due to Covid19 restrictions.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George's Greek Orthodox Church.
