She was predeceased by: her siblings, Gloria Adams (Jeannie) and John Jr. Halifax (Sharon); her husbands, Harold D. Nelson and Allan L. Patterson Sr.; her siblings, Sandra Donaldson, Lillian Symonds (Tootie), Derrick (Louie), Clinton and Milton (Butchie); and her granddaughters, Vanessa Miles and Robyn Downey (Pumpkin).

She is survived by: her children, Carman Downey (Stephen), Roma Marcus (Alton) and Derek; her siblings, Nolan, Perry Dartmouth N. S. (Leslie), Carla Bernard (Garry) of Dartmouth, NS, Teena Soule, Paula and Sandra Cole Both of Halifax, NS.; her godchildren, Tanisha Adams of Halifax, Marvin Baskerville of Halifax and Nelson Drummond of Halifax; her niece Lois Downey of Ottawa, ON; her sons-in-law, David Lindstrom of Halifax and Stevie Downey (Marjorie Lewczak) of Halifax; and her son David Dunphy (Genise) of Halifax. She is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions there will be no Public viewing.
