He was predeceased by: his parent Martin Devoe; his parent-in-law Dennis Muise; his brother Francis Devoe; his sibling's children, Gary Francis Devoe, Gary Eric Devoe, Kirk James Devoe, Vince Devoe, Donnie Tripplett and Jeanette Parsons; his granddaughter Robyn Paradis; his siblings-in-law, Ella MacNeil (Charlie), John McKinney, James Muise, Kenneth Muise, Jerome Muise, Dennis Muise (Rita) and Wayne Muise; and also Beatrice Muise.

He is survived by: his parent Genevieve Devoe; his wife Patricia Devoe; his children, Cathy Gale (Donald) of Great Codroy, NL, Wanda Robinson (Jeff), Marsha Park (Bruce) of Lower Sackville, NS, Donald Devoe (Deanna) of Milton, Darlene Steele (Stephen) of Grand Falls, Bernadine Petrie (Jack) of Lower Sackville, NS and Dion Devoe (Claudelle) of Great Codroy, NL; his siblings, Margaret Tripplett (John) of Spokane, Germaine McKinney of Cambridge Ont, Marilyn Hayes (John) of Kitchener, Carol MacNeil (Kevin) of Guelph, Martina Jacklin (Blake) of Milton, Lillian Battiste (George) of Upper Ferry, NL, Ted Devoe (Pauline) of Clifford, Redmond Devoe of Mississauga and Walter Devoe (Diane) of Irishtown; and his sisters-in-law, Joan Devoe of Halifax, NS, Carol O'Quinn, Lillian Muise and Betty Muise of Lower Sackville, NS. He is also survived by grandchildren, six (6) great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog Coco plus a large circle of family and friends.
