Mary Alice Newell Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 31, 2023, at the age of 87, Mary Alice Newell of Halifax, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Patrick and Helen Elizabeth Gates (Power); her husband Joeph Norman; and her son James. She is survived by: her children, Paul (Lalita) of Toronto, ON, Michael (Janice) and Joanne; her grandchildren, Emily, Michelle, Devon, James, Ryan and John; her great grandchild Violet; and her sister Jacklyn Haley (Gates). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association. Donations are being accepted for: CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY - SOCIÉTÉ CANADIENNE DU CANCER (CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY - SOCIETE CANADIENNE DU CANCER).
