She was predeceased by : her parents, Rachel Chandler (David) and Joseph Chandler; her husband William Sheppard; her son George; and her siblings, Blanche, Madeline, Benny, Vince, Horace and Joe.

She is survived by : her children, Louise, Dorothy (Toronto) and William (Vancouver); and her siblings, Cyril Clayton (Halifax) and Margret Gordon. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren.
