He is survived by: his wife Barbara Anne Keddy; his children, Gabrielle Cordella Chew, Adam Chew and Julia MacMillan of California; his stepsons, Rick Devine, Rob Devine and Randy Devine; his grandchildren, Jaden, Ronin, Tori, Aria, Samantha, Julien, Marigold and Miro; and his siblings, Robert Chew of Massachusetts, William Chew of Pennsylvania, Barbara Johnson of Washington and Betsey Van Horne of North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ecology Action Centre, Doctors Without Borders, or a charity of your choice.
