He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Geraldine (Geri); his parents, Michael Slaney and Theresa Slaney; and his brothers, Jack, Bob and Bill.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen O'Reilly-Slaney. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish (6032 Normandy Dr, Halifax, NS B3K 2S9).
