He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Simpson and Mary Simpson; his siblings, Kirk (Doreen), John (Ronnie), Hugh and Jane O'Brien (Mike); his siblings-in-law, Dan Murphy, Nick Rizzo and Lorna; and his great grandchild Willow.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Simpson (Cookson); his daughters, Joanne Baker (Wyman), Sharon Goss (Wayne) and Paula Simpson (Kevin Jamieson); his grandsons, Scott (Beth), Matthew (Julia) and Sean Baker; his daughters, Taylor, Nicole Goss, Shannon and Megan Simpson (Michael Plummer); his great grandchildren, Logan Baker, Emmett, Rhyse Simpson and Ruby Pearl Baker; his siblings, Muriel Murphy, Margaret Rizzo, Jim and Ward (Oresta); and his sister-in-law Lorraine.
