She was predeceased by: her parents, Reginald Lowe and Charlotte Lowe (Zwicker); and her siblings, Ruth, Jean, Bruce and Robert.

She is survived by: her husband Reid Mitchell; her children, Gary (Laura-Lee), Cindy (Steve Lipton) and Kevin; her grandchildren, Benjamin and Samantha Ferguson; her stepgrandchildren, Kyle and Paige Zwicker; and her niece Linda Sawler. She is also survived by her family, but her friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
