He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Cecil and Lena May West (Downey); his siblings, Elizabeth Jefferies (Carl), Olive May Hamilton (Paul), Marie Loppie (James), Shirley Allen (Graham), Mary Gangoo (Joseph), Ernest, Roy (Colette), Baby Boy West, Michael, George Albert Sr., Allan (Heather) and Frederick "Freddie" (Melissa); and his grandparents, Hattie Bain (Flint) and Robert Sasso.
He is survived by: his sisters, Rose Campbell (Bernard) of Halifax and Beatrice Wilkins (John) of Dartmouth; and his nieces and nephews, Florence Franks (West), Gary Hamilton, George West, Tony Jefferies, Darrel Hamilton, Paul Mason and Carol Ann Jefferies. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
