Peter Alick McDermaid Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Alick McDermaid formerly of Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 24, 2020 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Peter Alick McDermaid to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Kennedy McDermaid and Dalhousie 'Dalhsie Armitage McDermaid; and his siblings, Donald R. McDermaid and Nancy D. Kitchen (McDermaid). He is survived by: his brother Ian C. McDermaid; and his nephew Don. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, the family aims to hold a memorial service next summer at St. George's Anglican Church (aka 'the little brown church') at the Head of St. Margaret's Bay, where the McDermaid family plot lies as part of this quaint seaside cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter's memory may be made, with thanks, to the Nova Scotia SPCA or Hospice Halifax.
