He is survived by: his spouse Gerry Cantwell (Cape Breton); his children, Anastasia (Andrew MacAlpine), Maria (David Hubley), Nicolette and John (Johanna Graham); his grandchildren, Alexandra, Evangeline, Mikayla, Liam and Matthew; and his brother James (Donna) of Halifax.
